Replying to A Message

In order to reply to a message, click on either the "reply" or the "all" commands in the dark-blue command-bar. This will take you to the GatorLink WebMail "Compose" page, with a new message created, already addressed to the sender (and other recipients, if you selected "all"), and with the message to which you are replying included.

You can edit the old-message text if you need to, adding your response/comments either above, below, or interspersed throughout the old message, according to your preferences. You may also delete part or all of the old message if you wish.

Note that before sending your reply, you can edit the recipients, by adding and deleting addresses on the "To:", "CC:", and "BCC: lines. You can also edit the "Subject:" line, and add attachments if desired.

For more information, see the "Sending E-mail" section of the "The Compose Message Page" chapter of this document.
