Chapter 24. Creating New Folders

Table of Contents

Subfolders: Folders within Folders

Use either the "Edit Folders" command of the Top menu, or the [Add/Edit/Delete] command under the list of folders to create a new folder.

Click whichever of the two is most convenient for you. You will then see a page similar to the following illustration.

Type the name of the new folder you wish to create in the "Create Folder" field.

Your "top level" folder is always your INBOX. If you wish to create the new folder as a subfolder of your INBOX, simply leave "As a subfolder of:" set to "INBOX", and click the "Create Folder" button.

You will see the message "Folder Successfully Created" and the new folder added to your list of folders.

Subfolders: Folders within Folders

GatorLink WebMail will let you create and access subfolders -- that is folders within folders -- to further facilitate organization of your saved messages.

To do this, select either the "Edit Folders" command of the Top menu, or the [Add/Edit/Delete] command under the list of folders, as described in the "Creating Folders" section (above). Type the name of the new folder in the "Create Folder" field. Select the folder which you want to contain your new folder from the "As subfolder of:" drop-down.

You can also get to this command via the "Modify" link of the "Edit Folders" page. If you select this route, then any folder you create will automatically become a subfolder of the folder whose "Modify" link you clicked.
