GatorLink WebMail was designed to allow you to open multiple instances (or "windows") simultaneously, to provide you maximum flexibility in how you use its many features.
Some of the uses for this capability might be:
Having your INBOX message list open at the same time you are composing a message, to allow you to stay current on incoming e-mail which may have an impact on the message you are composing
Having your INBOX message list open at the same time you are composing a lengthy message, to allow you to periodically click the "Check Mail" control to reset the GatorLink WebMail "inactivity time-out" counter, so you don't get automatically logged-out before you've completed your composition
Having one or more messages open while you compose an outgoing message, so you can copy and paste quotes from multiple messages
Having your Address Book open simultaneously with a message containing many e-mail addresses, so that you can copy the information from the message to your Address Book
Or any use that you can think of!
Right-click on any link within GatorLink WebMail and select "Open in New Window" or "Open In New Tab" (depending on the capabilities of your browser) to open a new instance ("copy") of GatorLink WebMail. Assuming that you have already logged in to GatorLink WebMail, it will recognize that you are already logged in (in a different window), and not require you to enter your username and password again prior to opening the new instance.
However, if you click the "Logout" control in any open instance, you will be logged out in all currently-open instances.
