Chapter 39. Closing Thoughts: GatorLink WebMail "Pros & Cons"

GatorLink WebMail is a convenient, "light-weight" e-mail program. For many people, it may very well be exactly the right tool to fill their GatorLink e-mail needs.

However, for other users, who need more advanced features and capabilities, GatorLink WebMail may not fulfill all of their requirements.

GatorLink WebMail Web mail was originally intended only as a means to access your e-mail when your regular computer is unavailable--for example, when travelling. It was never meant to replace commercial e-mail products such as Outlook, Mozilla/Thunderbird, Eudora, Netscape, or PegasusMail. Nor can it compete with major commercial web-based products such as AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo!, or Gmail. Even though we continually add features to GatorLink WebMail, it may never have all of the features required by "power" e-mail users.

What it does have are the basic, essential features you need to access your e-mail from any computer anywhere in the world, as long as you have an Internet connection and a Web browser.

Many features which are not currently incorporated in GatorLink WebMail are on the "wish-list" for future enhancements. You are welcome to add additional suggestions to the list. However, there are no guarantees that all requests will be implemented, and no forecasts as to which ones will be implemented, nor when.
