This is a reminder that on Saturday, August 1, 2009, TPX, Easytrieve, and Panvalet software products will no longer be available on the CNS z/OS system.
As we have explained eariler (N0482), we reviewed our mainframe software to select which items could be discontinued with minimal impact to our customers so that we could meet recent budgetary constraints.
So far, we have successfully replaced the familiar NERDC (TPX) menu with our new CNS menu. While TPX is still a menu item on the CNS screen, the TPX feature will stop working on July 19, 2009, and will be completely removed from the z/OS system along with Easytrieve and Panvalet on Saturday, August 1, 2009.
Additionally, our z/OS system staff has been working with known, major users of these products to help them migrate to other tools.
If you have any concerns or questions about completing your own work without TPX, Easytrieve, or Panvalet, please contact us at the CNS Support Desk at 352-273-1308, or at consult@lists.ufl.edu.
