How Can We Access SAS?

Q:

We were told that once we obtained our RACF access we could run SAS to query files. Well, we can sign on and get the “READY” prompt, but we need to know where to go from here. Can you help us? Thanks. (ANON)

A:

There are several CNS documents that will orient you in using our system. They are:

You can find these documents online at http://docweb.cns.ufl.edu. Just enter the DOCID where indicated and click on the Get It! button.

As for the files, you will need to contact the owner of the files to find out the format of the files and the best tool (program) to use to access them.

I am assuming that you already know how to use the SAS language. However, you may wish to know that you can access SAS manuals online at http://nermvs.cns.ufl.edu/mvs/sas.htm. (tlvh)
