One of our clients reported a service outage to CNS on a Friday evening. The problem was corrected but we are now wondering what is the best way to make CNS aware of problems of this magnitude in an after hour situation? (RR)
We experienced a system problem that Friday night. It was considered to be an urgent problem and our systems staff was paged to begin diagnostic work as soon as we knew of the situation. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused to you and your clients.
Our Operations staff members are on duty 24/7. It is one of their functions during nights and weekends to contact appropriate systems staff and engineers when a system or service has a problem. It is always better to call, rather than rely on e-mail, during nights and weekends when reporting an urgent problem.
