Where Can I Get Info on a SQL Error?

Q:

Hi, I got the following message from Edify. How and where can I get detailed information from IBM DB2 manuals that tells me the detail of error code 42s22? I need more detail about this message, and about SQLSTATE=42703. Is there any manual? Also, what version of DB2 is on the server? (IP)

A:

For any SQL codes or other error messages, you can look on the www.software.ibm.com site and do a search. All DB2 manuals are available in the DB2 section of that site. My search for SQLSTATE=42703 yielded the following error message:

An undefined column, attribute, or parameter name was detected.

The answer to your second question depends on which Edify machine you are connecting to. If you are using Edify on a W2K platform, you are going through the gateway which is running version 7.2 of Edify. Please let us know if you need any more information. (bs/tlvh)
